Kohi - Town Houses
Project details:
Shanahan Architects designed high-end town houses. 4 townhouses spread over 3 levels totaling 1000m2 of floor area. Cladded in vertical cedar shiplap weatherboards and Titan panel.
We built all four units up at the same time so we could get them watertight as quickly as possible, steel lift shaft frames were the last structural items to go in.
We had some challenges forming up long 6+ metre ‘box corners’ on the cladding. After some experimentation we found the combination of sealing with a high movement façade silicone and biscuit jointing gave us the best results.
Each unit had nuraply waterproofed decks coming off kitchen and living areas, we built floating vitex decks over these and matched them up with the internal floor finishes to create a seamless transition from the inside to outside.
